I sweat when I eat. Why?

So in the last month it seems like every time I eat a normal-large meal (Usually during my breakfast both my lunch's and dinner) I start to sweat. Its hot out now but before it wasn't when it started. Anyone know what would cause me to sweat? Sometimes its literally drops of sweat from my armpit if I'm not wearing a shirt or I can feel a drop run down my arm. It is very weird.

I'm eating 6-8 times a day (one large breakfast around 500 calories, two lunchs both around 700 calories and dinner around 800 calories, two snacks, one home made weight gainer around 1000 calories. I'm getting around 4300-4800 calories a day).

Anyone have a good reason? its just started in the last month too. Haven't changed any supps but added fish oil last week but after it had already begun.

Maybe you're really nervous someone might steal your food? Or it's really spicy.

^^ Haha. Yeah if you are in prison you might be concerned someone will try to take your piece of cornbread.

I get really clammy and hot when I eat large meals and/or spicy foods. I don't get to the point of dripping sweat but it is uncomfortable. I think it is just due to amount of food, whether or not it is cooked/heated, and if it is spicy. I douse pretty much everything in Tabasco brand chipotle hot sauce (possibly the greatest condiment since ketchup) and this definitely makes it worse.

This happens to me too, but my face sweats during eating, not my armpits. I'm a sweaty bastard all the time though.
This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality. Embrace this moment, remember; We are eternal, all this pain is an illusion.

I love me some spicy food and like sweating that way but the other way I think i'm similar to toolness. My face sweats a little but not drippy like my pits. Its quiet gross actually! I think it could be the amount I eat. But when I take my shake at 1000+ calories nothing.

It might be certain food ingredients that cause the face sweating. I notice it with spicy foods of course, but there are even types of candy that do it to me. Strange as hell to be at a movie eating some Mike N Ikes and have your face sweating like crazy, hah.

I'd recommend avoiding eating at work, especially spicy foods. Or you could end up like George Costanza.

I've experienced something similar after a really large meal--like on Thanksgiving, I will sometimes have to have the window open even though it's snowing outside. Two possible explanations come to mind:

    1. Thermic Effect of Food (aka TEF)

    2. Effect on the thyroid hormones--specifically increased conversion of T4 to the more active T3--assuming you've eaten alot of carbs (thyroid status is related to glycogen/carb status of the liver--iow there is an increase in conversion of T4 to T3 when the glycogen level )is high)

Makes sense. I'm eating about 500g of carbs a day and 350 protein. Usually will get about 100g of carbs in one meal 2-3 times a day.

Also know its not spicy foods its a different kind of sweat if that makes sense. Plus i'm not eating much spicy foods but i do love em.

If you sweat easily and you enjoy your food. If you think about it, eating is work too, especially if for some reason you have been enjoying your food much more lately that is probably why.

I know its kinda broscience, but whenever I see my dad, my self or other people sweating while eating they are always enjoying their food eating non stop.

So i figured out the drippy pit situation. It was from the deodorant I was using. I bought a new brand last month cause they didn't have what I usually by and when I ran out a few days ago haven't had the same problem since. Problem solved for that at least.
