I was originally planning on competing at the Armbrust Pro Gym Warrior Classic again this year, but with the health problems I had at the beginning of the year and the birth of my daughter August is just too soon to compete. So, I'm going to shoot for THE ROCKY in November. I'm slowly getting back into the gym and getting my diet back in check. I'm also looking into 'supps' that won't cause my liver anymore problems (USE YOUR CYCLE SUPPORTS AND GET BLOODS DONE!!!). Anyways, I'll be logging my workouts and trying to post more training vids than I have done in the past. Hope we both get something out of this!

Being as I've got the little one, I haven't been able to train as often. Right now 3 times a week is pretty much max. So, I'm doing a rotating upper body/ lower body split. I will be starting to throw in a couple of cardio nights. To help my wife get back into shape while our little one is so young, we bought the Nike training game for Xbox 360 Kinect. It should help keep things interesting while still giving her and I a chance to train together a few nights a week.

Right now my supps are pretty simple:

One-a-day
Triple Strength Fish Oil (3x daily)
Anteaus Labs Aegis (3 caps 2x daily)
2000mg D3
1000iu E
B-Complex
Calcium, Mag, Zinc (2 caps daily)
LG Sciences Form-XT

Pre-workout: K-otic by EFX.

I switched things up tonight in terms of training. I read a pretty interesting article in a recent FLEX by Charles Poliquin on increasing your bench press. It's centered around creating/correcting strength imbalances. As such, it's a great complete upper body routine. I did Phase 1 tonight pretty much the way it was written with the exception that I added in a few sets of dips and chin-ups to hit my tris and bis at the end. The one thing I REALLY like about the routine is there was only 1 exercise in the whole routine that I'd done before. Here's how it went:

Flat DB Press - 100x8,105x6,115x6,100x3
4x6-8, 90s rest

Subscapularis Pullups - BWx6,6,5,5
4x6-8, 90s

Flat Unrolling Flye - 30x8,25x10,25x10
3x8-10, 75s

Elbow Out One Arm DB Row - 70x3x10
3x8-10, 75s

Dips - BWx10,6,3
3xF, 60s

Chin-ups - BWx7,4,3
3xF, 60s

Elbow on Knee DB External Rotation - 7.5x3x15
3x10-12, 60s

Prone Trap-3 Raise - 10x12,10x10,5x10
3x10-12, 60s

Anytime, my friend.

I notice that you're using EFX K-Otic and was wondering what you think about it. The bodybuilder trainer in my gym is an EFX athlete and is always talking about it.

I'm in. My wife and I just had a little one in November so I know what you're fighting with getting back into training with a wee one. Best of luck in your training brother!

I really like K-Otic and all of the EFX products. Good company.

ICEMAN - thanks for following along. TD going to be a challenge and I'm going to have to be even more diet focused since time is an issue now.

It's def a work in progress for me. I'm making do with a lot of boxed/processed food at the moment, but am hoping to soon transition back to making meals at home for multiple days. It's def tough because a little one can throw your schedule in the blink of an eye. And no matter how pissed you want to be, you can't cuz they are way too special.

I do my best to plan out my meals the day before and at least know what I'm eating. My wife isn't working out currently (she used to do p90x) but she does try to eat healthy with me so it helps. I can say that if your wife is on board, try planning together and it will makes things easier as you transition. If you have questions, I'm happy to help. Shoot me a PM or drop a message. I'm learning how to train/eat right with 3 kids in the house so I'm becoming a master lol.

Thought I'd give an update.

First off, I'm going to be logging some Osta-RX for HeavyIron. So, a HUGE shout-out of thanks to him!

Posted Image

The weekend after my last workout post I was able to get in one more. As such, I have my numbers for Seated Overhead Press and Bench:

SOHP - 165x2 - 170
BP - 275x2 - 285

The Thursday before the workout, however, my wife's Grandfather passed away. So, it was a VERY busy weekend. Last week I was out of the office again, but this time my wife and little girl came with. So, needless to say, there were no workouts to be had. TONS of eating though and now my pants are fitting pretty tight.

However, I have another conference this week followed by one last weekend filled with packing up the last of G-Pa's furniture and distributing it to the local relatives' houses. As such, the new program MAY start next week. The diet however, starts this week and I may have the Osta-RX in the mail. So, I will start it this week to start getting some of the BF disappearing while holding onto my existing muscle.

Since there are 3 pills per dose, I'm going to take 1 pill 3X a day. Given the long half-life of Osta I should have a nice steady anabolic environment throughout they day.

Well, it's been a while since I updated this thing. Life has been very busy and I've had to put training on hold for another week (last week). So, now I'm at this week and I've started making two changes. One, I'm now tracking my food intake with myfitnesspal. Two, for the first time in my life, I'm taking clen. I've actually got my cals set at a slight deficit (set to lost 1/2 lb per week in the app). I know on my normal rest days this won't be an issue. However, I'm thinking that on training days I will get one extra in post workout. I'm not really looking to lose a bunch right now. Rather, I'm going to be recomping a bit before really starting to get things going!

Myfitnesspal is a great app! I've used every day in my current cut. Works amazing!
