Hi guys, I saw a carrier different from the classic Phlojel or Salvo, called Pentravan.
I wanted to prepare a transdermal testosterone but was undecided on the carrier.
Have you ever heard of this Pentravan? Is good?
Thanks

Why not just use SALVO?  It's proven..  Multiple times..

You could hypothetically drop over 4g of powder in Salvo without an issue.

I know there's some confusion on how much is too much in terms of powder per ml.  Quite frankly that still confuses me.

it really depends on the compound.

example: getting anywhere near 100mg/ml of resveratrol is HARD

but, other compounds like epiandrosterone and DHEA seem quite stable at 100mg/ml of Salvo.

The only compound I've had problems with out of 4 attempts, and it hurts my wallet and my heart to say this, is trestolone.

I tried to slightly heat it when it didn't dissolve.. And it crystallized.  It was odd given other people hadn't had problems.

How do you all know what's an acceptable amount to add to the salvo for each different hormone ?

Its by molecular weight.  I forget what it needs to be under.  400?  I know a few people on here know the specifics.  It can be found with a search, I am just being lazy.

Think it is possible for anything under a mol weight of 500 to work, but ~300 or less is absorbed much more easily. PA has talked about this several times.

Also, something to remember in regards to transdermals, there comes a point when a higher mg/ml will provide diminishing returns for the amount absorbed. Transdermals work best when spread over a large surface area. Once you saturate an area of skin with the compound, more compound on that same area will not increase absorption.

Not saying we have hit that point with 100mg/ml or anything, but just that more mg/ml is not always better with TD.

I would make a topical compound with testosterone base, like 100mg/ml but i would like to absorb the most percentage for this reason i read about the Pentravan.

What's Pentravan claiming absorption and bioavailability-wise? Not sure I'd but any claims of >50% delivery rates

This is the only research I found that shows superiority absorption greater than PLO

When I use TD (regardless of carrier) - I always pre-treat w. DMSO and post treat (after it absorbs) with a compounding cream I purchased from HUMCO.

The stuff from HUMCO is pharma grade (at first they were not sure they could sell it to me since I was not with a pharmacy) and much less expensive than Phlojel.

Thanks for sharing. I did some reading on it. It's pharmacy grade and compared efficacy wise to PLO (plogel).

The problems I as unable to find any detailed information allowing us to make a determination of which is superior (vs Plogel, DMSO, Salvo).

Im sure it's good stuff but who the heck knows which TD formula is superior.

For me there is no problem if is pharma grade, because I know a pharmacist. unfortunately here in Italy (i'm italian) it is difficult to find Salvo.

Ok, so how many grams of testosterone base should be used, to have like 100mg/ml?

I have the Plo20, PENcream and the HRT base.

I use them as if the are sealers.

The website includes studies as to the various products used in transdermal applications.

Yes but be needs to know the acceptable amount of hormone volume that the TD will allow for based on solubility and daltons / molecular weight. So the math based on that specific carrier.
