This is my first post here. Wanted to jump right in and give you guys some info. Started my epi cycle today.
Am currently bulking and thought a short 4 week epi cycle would be quite beneficial to strength gains.
Some info about myself:
13% BF (more or less)
5 rep max squat = around 165kg
5 rep max bench = around 105kg
5 rep max deadlift = around 175kg
Quite optimistic but nevertheless hoping to bump up each compound lift by about 10kgs by the end of the 4 weeks. Not expecting too much weight gain but would be nice if I hit 96kg by the end of the cycle too. Will be eating high carbs and protein, low to medium fat intake.
Started my first day today, running 20mg for the first week and then will bump up to 40/40/40 for rest of cycle.
I'm currently following a program similar to arnold's blueprint to mass, following similar rep ranges and exercises but will be incorporating a bit more strength training, exercises are quite limited as am in boarding school. Health and Safety etc etc.
Day 1: Chest/Back
Haven't had a rest day in around 2 weeks but am very pumped to get started.
Started off with 7 sets of bench, built up to 110 - hit 3 reps on 7th set at 110. Disappointed.
Followed this by incline bench, barbell, went light - 70kg for sets of 10.
4x10 lightweight flys
pullovers, lightweight focusing on contraction.
Finished with cable flys, single arm - sets of 12.
Didn't go too hard on back, didn't do any deadlifts as I have a neck injury due to rugby.
Did some simple exercises. Rows, pulldowns, db rows etc.
