I won a Xmas drawing on facebook from NutraBio for ten free samples of their Super Carb which is a HBCD product.  I normally take Xtend throughout my workout and finish up my workout right when about my workout drink is done.  However now with these samples how can I use both, xtend is Blue Raz flavor and the super carb is kiwi straw so I decided to mix them for my first test run today.  I was thinking possibly super carb first half workout then BCAA's the rest or?

Comments or suggestions welcome!!

Thanks,

TM89

I use HBCD and peptopro both pre (1 serving) and during (1 serving).  It has been a game changer for me.

Yes.  Recovery is greatly enhanced but the best thing is that I can work out for at least 30 minutes longer than without this and my strength does not go down.  Even an hour and a half into a work out I am still going strong; it is much harder to over train.

I like glycofuse since some of the 60 serving product has been discountinued and you can get it for a good price if you still can find it.

I use truenutrition.com HBCD's and hydrolyzed whey. Recovery improves drastically. Use it preworkout and intraworkout most importantly, but post workout gives a benefit as well.

True, but the hydrolyzed whey is much cheaper, and I honestly haven't noticed any difference between the two.

Truth.

I just eat my proteins from whole foods. The only supps I buy are tudca, nac, and aminos with maybe karbolyn during bulk run.

yeah like, its backed by multiple studies that you only need about 1g/kg of bodyweight and slightly more when in a deficit for maximum muscle growth/retention. Even studies where the participants were on steroids.

Everyone is different, but I would like to error on the side of a little too much than not enough protien.

Keep in mind the protien requirements are BS because they never talk about the quality of the protien injested, are we talking egg protien, BCAA or Hydrolyzed Gelatin ( in a lot of bars, cheap from pig hooves no BA at all).

it pretty much doesn't matter all too much as long as you're mixing sources I presume.

Good article aside from the product pimping.  Pre/intra-workout nutrition more important than post?  Mind= blown

agreed with the product pimping, Plamza is super expensive that is why I am making a homemade version of it.

I wouldn't have believed it unless I tried i,t which I did and it makes a huge difference.

I have tried the Malto and dextrose before... Think I still have some and might dig it up and put it back into rotation.

I have done the malto/dextrose and it is not the same for me, but try it out if it works it is way cheaper.  I tend to get a sugar crash on the malto/dextrose that I don't on the HBCD.  Also I can get away which much fewer calories when dieting using HBCD.

Too each his own.................Let us know which one treats you best.

This is because of the size of the molecule of hbcd vs malto/dextrose. HBCD's absorb quickly due to their low osmolity, but they take a long time to be converted into glucose making for fast delivery yet sustained energy. I love the stuff!
